I officially suck

I am so not mother of the year. Today was early release.
I did not forget. I was getting my shoes on when the cell phone rang in the other room. It was the bus barn saying they tried to drop TC off but I wasn't there. UGH.
I tried to call but nobody answered, I had to call the special needs dptmt of the school and they transferred me to another lady who said she would call me back.

By this time I am practically in tears.
Then Sara texted me wondering where I was.
Shoot...I forgot I was supposed to get her after getting TC.
Normally she rides the bus.

Finally I got a call saying TC would be delivered to the bus barn after the driver completed her route.
I waited a few minutes at the bus barn for him.
He wasn't upset but I sure was!

I deserve the mother of the year award..not!

Tired

Oh Lord, TC did not sleep last night. I am so freaking sleepy. I am officially not working anymore but I have to go to the dr. today and buy groceries. We got hubby's transmission rebuilt last week to the tune of $1400...not really that bad of a price but that money went fast!

The kids are back at school today but they get early release on Wednesday and are off Friday so Mama will not have much time to herself this week!

Hubby's cortisone shot went well, they always put him under because he has to be absolutely still due to the shot going into his spine area. Hopefully it will help him feel better.

I want to go get some paint eventually. Hopefully I can do that one day next week. I should start getting my unemployment soon and then my severance in about 4 weeks.

Random

TC is obsessed with super heroes. Most super heroes fight bad guys, right?? Even the cartoons can be violent. Therefore he talks about blood and fighting and all that great stuff. This drives my husband insane. I tell TC not to talk about certain things but he still does! And hubs got him a magazine at the store the other day with YOU GUESSED IT...Super heroes. So I told hubs don't fuss at me because he says those things! Besides, he is autistic! He goes on and on about the same things 24/7.

My husband is getting a cortisone shot tomorrow in his spine. They always have to do an epidural before injecting the shot because if he moves it could paralyze him. So pray for us. I have to drive him home, again, pray for us. He thinks I can't drive!

And my teen. OMG, she is so nosey! She thinks she has to know what I am typing right now! She thinks she can reply to my texts that I get. She is so up in my business I swear I don't have any of my own she knows it all. I am ready for her to get a job! That way she can get out of my hair sometimes!!!

No stinky

I am big on cleanliness.
I make my kids bathe every day.
I check their teeth, hair, and make sure they look and smell good.
Sara can pretty much take care of herself, but TC, that is another story.

Every morning I spray his hair down. I put his deodorant and cologne on.
I always tell him, "Gotta smell good for the ladies!"

This morning I said that and he said, "Yeah, the ladies don't like stinky boys!"

Monday Monday

The kids went back to school today. I was glad to be home and get some things done. Til' my husband decided he needed to come home at noon..lol.
It was a good day after all and TC and Sara both had a good first day back.

Now I am trying to get him to stop talking and go to sleep!
I am off tomorrow too and only work Wed. and Thurs. this week.
Then I am jobless for awhile!

Friday

My boss told me to take today off. Hey next week is my last day! So they are letting me work like 2 or 3 days a week.

I took the kids to Dairy Queen and the park. It was very windy though! TC had fun and got some energy out though. Sara and I rode the bike for a bit.

We are home and they just watched Ponyo. A cold front will be here tonight. Crazy Texas weather always keeps us guessing!

TGIF

Today is Friday. Well, my week was good even though we had to attend the funeral. My Mom stayed all week and we had some time together. When someone dies you take a second look at your relationships. Loving each other is what is important.

I pray for the kids who lost their mom this week, they will have a lot to deal with and they will miss their mom a lot.

Some other things are going on and we are trying to help where we can but it is all up in the air right now. Prayers are appreciated.

I am back at work today and I have been off all week.
Sara is going to a dance tonight and informed me of this just last night.
So after work, I am off to buy her some tights to wear under her dress. I will post photos!!

TC is doing great and he thought today was Saturday so he was not happy about going to school this morning. Otherwise, he is doing really good though. He is loving riding the bus home with his buddy Jamel.

New bus

Work has been so slow so my boss told me that I could leave early starting this week. Well, with the death and everything I am taking off a few days.

But last week, I told my daycare that TC will not be coming anymore. I had a meeting to get him on the special needs bus in the afternoons.

Sara attended this daycare for over 7 years and TC has gone for 7 years too! I told the director that Friday was TC's last day and that I appreciated everything they have done for us.
When I picked him up Friday, I had a gift from the daycare owners.
It was a nice journal and a $50 gift card to Saltgrass.
Was that not sweet??

TC rode the bus home today. He did awesome! The best part is that he gets to ride with his little friend Jamel. I recently found out Jamel lives on our street. TC got off the bus with all smiles!
I took him to McDonalds as a treat.

Update

I am so tired.
My Mom and brother came yesterday. They got here around 9. My Mom always likes to stay up late and talk. We were up til' 1 and I had been up around 21 hours by that time.
Then I woke hubs up when I got in the bed, which pissed him off. He is one of those sleepers who get woken up and stay up for hours. I can go to sleep in 30 seconds flat.

Sara stayed at a friends and she called me at 7:30 am this morning saying she lost her purse at the movies and it had her cell phone in it. I told her to just come home ASAP. Luckily it was a prepaid phone that I only paid $10 for. UGH.

I cooked breakfast for everybody and cleaned up afterwards. My brother and Mom left to go get his kids. At this point, they don't know when the funeral will be because Laura's husband is in Pakistan visiting family. He won't be back til' tomorrow.

Then I got the kids together and we met my sister and went to Wal Mart for a few things. Afterwards, we came home and got hubs and went to see "Alice In Wonderland".
It was interesting!

Now I am home and my Mom and brother should be back soon. I have homework that I need to do.
I also need a nap.

RIP Lora

My brother's ex wife passed away today.
She was only 33.
She was the mother of 5 children.
She had diabetes and basically did not take care of herself.

It is really sad, she left 5 kids, from ages 11 to 18. 4 of them are my nephews and nieces.

Please pray for her children and family, it is just a really sad deal.

Hmmmm....I will be 45 and hopefully still married. It will be 25 years..I think I will need to take a cruise for that one!
Sara will be 24 and TC 18. Oy vey!
Hopefully TC will be independent enough to make a decision about a trade.
He will more than likely be a rock star, I just know it! And travel a lot on a bus with other smelly guys.
Sara will be out of college and starting a family. I hope she waits til' she is out of college anyways. I am ready for grandbabies but not anytime soon.

Hubs will be 5 years away from retirement. I will be going on weekend road trips and probably have a nice garden and enjoy the outdoors. I am sure I will work til' I am 70'ish. Somebody has to keep health insurance!

A day off and lots to do

I stayed home with TC yesterday. He sweated out a fever Monday night. I got a lot of things done around the house and dinner was done when hubs and Sara got home from school and work!

Last night TC had a meltdown because of "not wanting to go to school."
I hope he does okay today! He seemed fine this morning.

I am so ready for March 31st! My last day at work!
Here's hoping I can find another job once I start looking...one with good benefits.
I found out today that Obama extended the act for Cobra which means I only pay 35% of the premiums for me and Hubs insurance once my job goes away. Otherwise I would have been without insurance. I can hopefully get the kids on Chips. I plan on using some of my severance to cover insurance premiums while I am off. I am trying to get things squared away.

Can't deal right now

TC has not been feeling well. I went to my sister's yesterday and TC threw up there. Once we came home, he started running a fever.
He stayed home with the Hubs today.
He ate NOTHING all day!

I hope he sleeps tonight. I am so tired!! I was up twice with him last night.

My Mom called me twice today with drama with my little brother.
I can only pray for him.
He has been making bad choices for months now and he is about to be evicted so he calls Mom to rescue him.
She just now called and I didn't answer the phone.
I am just to tired to hear about it right now.

Is that wrong???
